We are seeking an experienced Civil Engineer specializing in Water, Wastewater, and Stormwater projects. This role involves working on a variety of municipal infrastructure projects, including water and wastewater treatment facilities, combined sewer overflow facilities, sanitary sewer stations, booster pump stations, and transmission/distribution mains.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform engineering and construction tasks related to water, wastewater, and stormwater projects, with a focus on treatment plants and associated facilities.
  • Lead and oversee engineers and technical staff in reviewing and preparing plans and specifications.
  • Manage projects from planning and procurement through construction and startup.
  • Develop construction cost estimates, oversee construction activities, and coordinate field operations.
  • Analyze and review proposed contracts, defining key parameters, schedules, and deliverables.
  • Develop project scope, procedures, and budgets while ensuring adherence to client requirements.
  • Maintain compliance with contractual obligations and ensure projects align with client expectations.
  • Foster strong relationships with various internal teams, departments, and project stakeholders.
  • Oversee project forecasts, schedules, cost estimates, and quality control measures.
  • Monitor budgets, report financial concerns, and provide updates to program managers and task leaders.
  • Stay actively involved in industry organizations and professional societies to remain updated on best practices.
  • Perform additional duties as required.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering or a related field.
  • 4+ years of experience in municipal water and wastewater projects.
  • Hands-on experience in evaluation, planning, design, and construction of water and wastewater treatment plants, pump stations, water/sewer/stormwater infrastructure, and lift stations.
  • Professional Engineer (PE) license in Ohio or the ability to obtain one within 6 months.
  • Proficiency with Project Management software is preferred.
  • Strong interpersonal, technical writing, and communication skills.
  • Ability to safely visit and navigate construction sites while adhering to all safety regulations.
