This role is built for a hands-on engineer who enjoys tackling complex municipal challenges, guiding junior staff, and collaborating with a high-performing team. You’ll be involved across the full project lifecycle—planning, design, construction, and leadership—while building expertise and shaping infrastructure that has a lasting community impact.

What You’ll Do

• Lead and independently complete engineering designs using professional judgment 
• Support or act as Project Manager; assign tasks, set schedules, and monitor team progress 
• Perform QA/QC reviews on engineering work and ensure accuracy 
• Make key design decisions and coordinate impacts across projects 
• Identify and resolve technical, schedule, and budget issues 
• Support bidding and contractor selection; respond to contractor questions 
• Monitor construction and supervise field work 
• Prepare addenda, recommend change orders, and contribute to proposals (scope, schedule, cost) 
• Communicate directly with clients on technical matters 
• Sign and seal engineering documents; serve as technical expert or PM on select projects 

What You Bring

• Bachelor’s or Master’s in Engineering from an accredited program 
• Licensed Professional Engineer (PE) or ability to obtain within 6 months 
• 4+ years of engineering/design experience, including water and/or wastewater projects 
• Strong technical writing, communication, and plan-reading skills 
• Proficiency with engineering tools, analysis equipment, and software 
• Solid analytical and problem-solving abilities across routine and complex tasks
